Fuad’s academic story is too compelling, the Governor says.
The big-heart of the Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode pumped on Fuad Adetoro Ogunsanya , the best graduating student in LASU’s 22nd convocation ceremony held in the school auditorium on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, as he received a mouth-watering cash reward of N5 million .
Faud finished with 4.7CGPA which propelled him being the highest among his mates. He also received a grand offer of scholarship to study for his Master’s Programme in any part of the world.
In the Governor’s speech, “His story is too compelling and reflects on my story . So, any University he wants to go , I will do it personally ; I will be responsible . In addition to that, because he is the best graduating student, I dash him N5 million”.
It was a moment of joy for Faud . He couldn’t believe his ears. while delivering his valedictory speech , he said his academic journey was almost frustrated by a health challenge he inherited from his father which is cataract.
He further explained how he underwent two operations on different occasions of which one was successful. He however thanked God to have helped him this far.
Faud recalling his secondary days, he said he had F9s in his first WAEC and NECO.
He chipped in this probably to encourage the spirit of doggedness in the Nigerian students in the pursuance of their dream careers.
