FCMB launches an educational service for oversea studies to all its various customers

Education will ever remain an enduring legacy in all ages. Perhaps, this is what informed a leading financial service provider, First City Monument Bank (FCMB) on Thursday May 31, 2018 in unveiling a scheme tagged “FCMB Education Advisory Services”

This service has been established in ensuring convenient, accessible and affordable education support for its customers or their children who may want to study in overseas in order to obtain undergraduate and post –graduate degrees. It is also extended to any aspiring customers.

It is an en-compassing service which will cater for overseas admission services, school fees remittance, school living allowance and travel fares, loans to support school fees payments, visa process, travels and examination preparation. It is indeed a jaw-breaking service-offer to all it numerous customers and other aspiring candidates. The service is geared at developing a new generation of brilliant minds which the bank hopes would take Nigeria to the next level.

The FCMB Education Advisory Service is in partnership with MOD Group, a leading international education promotion and marketing company the West Africa sub-region.

Speaking at the launch of this initiative at a ceremony on May 30, 2018 in Lagos, the Executive Director, Retail Banking of FCMB Mr. Okanmu stated the commitment of the bank in venturing and executing initiatives which are directed in promoting education and knowledge acquisition among Nigerians. According to him, he explained that it is an initiative of the bank in offering a full range of core financial services which are the easy access to education abroad.

The service covers up to N5million school fees support to customers from the bank and credit direct limited among others.

Mr. Okanmu in his words “At FCMB, we walk and work our customers to fulfill their life aspirations for themselves, their families and businesses, including the provision of the best education. The FCMB Education Advisory Service is in partnership that also covers school admission process, Visa Processing, travel and examination preparation….”

He added further, “We have Lufthansa Airline, beside other partner’s airlines on board to offer students discounted fares under this scheme. This also covers their guardians accompanying them. in addition, we have AXA Mansard coming on board to provide medical cover for students to the tone of $60,000, a year”

The event was attended by special guests, the likes of the Permanent Secretary/Tutor General, Lagos Ministry of Education, Mrs. Oluwafunmilayo Onadipe, the Managing Director of MOD Group, Mr. Michael Dosunmu, Head of Communication of High Commission of Ireland, Tessa Bagu, among others.
